Ala., Light and Traction company has placed an order with the Perley A. Thomas Car works here for ten safety appliance one-man street cars, it was announced today. These cars will cost approximately .$300 more each than those recently contracted for by the Charlotte traction companies because of higher standards of specification.The contract calls for delivery of the cars within the next 90 days. ) All electrical appliances for the safety cars will be furnished by the Westinghouse Electric company.
