—Many of our readers doubtless remember that in February, 1912, Wilburn J. Snyder, was nbot to'death on the Longhope mountain, whiiein company with a young girl, by hia two eons, Conley and W. C. Snyder. The young men surrendered to the authorities, giyen a preliminary . bearing before a board of magistrates, and released, theevidence, as they saw it, making it a plain cnee of killing in self-delense. The young men have since spent much of their timp in Tenn. After their acquittal, a chain of evidence began to lenghthen link until I be last term of Watauga Superior Court, the case came up before the grand jury and a bill wus found againHt the boys for murder Lastweek Deputy Sheriff I^ewis received n message from Mountain City, stating that the boys were there, if wanted. Lew-is’phoned to a Johnson county officer to arrest and hold them until he got tbpre, which be did, aud today Conley and W. E. Snyder (as the case is not a balable onu) are confined in the county jail to await the next term of Wutauga Superior eoiirt to answer to the grave charge of pari cide.’■■■a* fakaal
