Next Wednesday Mr. E. E. Herring, who has conducted the store on south Main street for some months past and who at one time had two stores in successful oper ation, will leave for Davis, W., Va , where he has decided to em bark in trade. Mr. Herring has come by reason of his long stay to be looked upon as a citizen. He always paid strict attention to his business, went ahead and sold cheap for cash, and thereby controlled a large trade. For the past five weeks his business has been im mense to which he attributed in a great measure, the effect of judi cious advertising in Tur Star We are sorry to lose him both as a cit zen and as a liberal patron of prin ter’s ink, and wish him success in his new field. He will be accom panied by Mr. Turner and Miss Annie Grim and a young milliner. His family, wife and two daugh ters and son, will remain in Win chester where the children will at tend school.
