Ernest Peden Jr._Ernest Peden Jr., a resident of Hopkins Park, died Sunday, Sept. 17, at St. Mary Hospital, Kankakee.Services were Saturday at Church of the Cross, Hopkins, with Bishop Mansfield Hudson officiating. Interment was in Mount Glenwood Memory Gardens, Glen wood.Mr. Peden was born Oct. 2, 1938, in Preston, Miss. He was a laborer.He is survived by five daughters, Darlene Peden of Clarksville, Tenn., Meria Peden, La-tonya King and Rachel (Torry) Williams, all of Kankakee, and Jeanette (Kevin) Kellogg; two sons, Ernest of Hopkins Park and Johnny of Kankakee; his mother, Maggie Peden of Harvey; a sister, Irlene Davis of Harvey; three brothers, Jim (Lillie) and David, all of Chicago, and Ray of Harvey; and 14 grandchildren.Memorials may be made to the family.
