Mrs. P»1 E. Tits worthSHERBURNE, N.Y. - Mrs. Vida F. Titsworth, 92, a resident of the Senior Citisens Home in Cincinnatus, died Saturday at Chenango Memorial Hospital, Norwich.Mrs. Htswortb, the widow of a former Alfred University president, lived in Alfred from 1893 to 1964.The daughter of Charles and Jane Place Stillman, she was born July 21, 1880, and she married Paul Emerson Titsworth in 1904 in Alfred.Her husband was president of Washington College, Cbestertown, Md., from 1923 to1933, and of Alfred University in 1933, at the time of his death.Mrs. Titsworth remained in Alfred after his death, moving to the home in Cincinnatus in 1964.She was a member of the Alfred Seventh Day Baptist Church, the Maryland Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and of the Amandine Club of Alfred.Mrs. Titsworth is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth T. Stillman of Sherburne, Mrs. Eleanor T. Wilson of Betbesda, Md. and Mrs, Katherine Riegger of Ithaca, and by three grandchildren.The funeral and committal prayers are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Alfred Rural Cemetery.No calling hours are to be held.
