Bland County Man Held Of formal Charge Of Murder (special to The Southwest Times) Bland, Sept. 24. —Lee Hancock, about 60, is being held without bond in the Bland county jail on a formal charge of murder grow ing out of the fatal shooting of his 14-year-old grandson, Sher man Castle, son of Ribble Castle, near the Bland-Pulaski county line Saturday afternoon, Hancock was arrested by a posse under Sher iff Blankenship late Saturday night. Witnesses to the shooting stat ed that Hancock was drunk at the time. He accosted the lad on the road and sent a bullet through the youth's chest, witnesses said. Hancock said that he was so drunk at the time he did not know what he was doing. Funeral for young Castle was held on Parth Walker’s creek yes terday,. Hancock will be brought before the par and jury next month. Considerable feeling which ex tant can this section Saturday over the shouting is thought to have subsided by now.
