Scarlet Fever. ifAn epidemic of scarlet feter throughout the county and in town has caused several schools in the county to close, and the Board of He-1th rfquested the teachers of the High School to suspend sehool until aif danger of infection is passed. There have been only three eases of the fever in town. E.*,rl HarJe.'ty and Lillian Neal, at the home of Mr T. A. Hardesty, and a col-1 ored chila at the home jf Mr J. V. Mayes. Donald Campbell, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Theo. Campbell, is critically ill with diphtheria His sickness was first prouounced scarlet fever, but tt was not a well defined case and as diphtheria developed. Monday, it is doubtful if his case was scarlet fever.® ♦The schools will rot reconvene until all danger of infection is over.
