fpedtably. This gentleman always performs correlyj but, as we have before obferved, he wants variety of tone. Sir Chriftopher Curry is certainly one of Mr. Barry’s beft charafters; the touchy old Governor fuits his method of playing much better than the line he fometimes attempts, and would have been more perfect had he kept his voice within proper bounds;—now and then he roared rather coo much. Medium was rendered very pleafant by Mr. Noble, who is particularly happy in the old men, and Irifh charaers. Mr. Henry, in Trudge, by no means pleafed us; he wanted fire to keep up that intereft which his language excites. Of the Ladies, Wowfki appeared to have been in good hands; fhe was unwell, or no doubt would have fpoke it admirably. Yarico fings prettily, but wants pathos; indeed this lady’s forte does not confift in fentiment. The farce, which preceded the play, was by no means fo well fupported as it iiiould have been. Mr, Barry, jun. in Biondello, was foremoft in praife. We are happy to hear that the Gentlemen of this Society have agreed, next Wednefday, to play for the widow of poor Wilson at the Little Theatre, who we fin cere ly hope will have a good houfe.
