Mr. Harry R. Burris, 82, of Yeoman, formery of Route 2, Delphi, departed this life on Monday, September, 14, 1992 at 3:43 a.m. in the Lafayette Healthcare Center, where he had been a resident for two years. Born February 18, 1910, Carroll County, he was the son of William E. Burris and Alpha Misner. On February 11, 1933, he was married to Ruth James, who survives years, retiring in 1972. He was an avid fisherman, loved to hunt mushrooms, winning several awards. Surviving with the wife are four daughters; Marilyn Henagin, of Magnolia, Texas, Shirley Elston, Delphi, Phyllis Dague, Riverside, California, and Bonnie Smith. Also surviving are five sisters, 16 grand children, 23 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, two brothers, one sister, one half-brother, one grandosn, and one great grandson Services for Mr. William J. Burris were held Thursday, at the Horn Funeral Home in Delphi, with Rev. Rick Pet tys officiating. Burial was in the Yeoman Cemetery. Family suggests memorials be given to the Alzheimers Foundation.
