Members of Jolly Neighbors Ex tension Club met Sept. 9 at the home of Mrs. Inez Riggs, Woonsocket. Assisting the hostess was her granddaughter, Mrs. Douglas (Kim) Olson, Sioux Falls, who was a visitor. Helen King, president, reported on the Aug. 14 fall council. The Oct. 25 talent fair was discussed. Lulu Mae Horn will dress a doll for the Festival of Dolls. The next meeting will be Oct. 3, 1:30 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Eileen Sheffield. Future Nurses WELLINGTON SPRINGS — Of ficers were elected for the newly organized Future Nurses of America at the Aug. 26 meeting. They include Linda Powell, president; Anna Hermanson, vice president; Cheryl Linn, secretary treasurer. Pat Shoemaker was named the new FNA advisor. The club decided to begin working as candy stripers at Weskota Memorial Hospital the week following state fair and they met with the county health nurse Sept. 8 who explained the responsibility of her work. Catalogs were viewed by FNA members for selecting FNA pins. Pins may be earned by doing 40 hours of volunteer work at the hospital or nursing home. A tour of the hospital was taken by the members Sept. 9. Miss Moritz, a former resident of Baton Rouge, La., is an accountant for Gulf States Utilities Co., Beaumont, Texas. She received her bachelor’s degree in finance at the University of Southwestern Louisiana, Lafayette. Ruff, a former Huron resident, is an engineer for Mobile Chemical Co., Beaumont. He received his bachelor’s degree in mechancial engineering at South Dakota State University, Brookings, and is a former captain in the United States Air Force where he flew F-111’s in TAC. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Clarence A. Moritz, Baton Rouge, and Mr. and Mrs. John L. Ruff, Huron.
