Benjamin Barley Funeral Sept. 10ITuneral services for BenjaminBarley, 78, of Fleischmanns, who died Sept. 8 in Middletown, were held Sept. 10 at the Gormley funeral home in Phoenicia. Rev. Horace Bohea, pastor of the Fleischmanns Methodist church, officiated. Burial is in the Kelly Comers cemetery.Mr. Barley is survived by two sons, George and Julian Barley of Fleischmanns, four daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Van Loan of High-mount, Mrs. Laura Cohane and Mrs. Frieda Kuehne of Monroe and Mrs. Ida Van Loan of Fish-kill, 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. ,— Born Oct. 26, 1886, Mr. Barley was the son of Anthony and Martha Quick Barley. His wife, Mrs. Nellie Oakley Barley, died March 3, 1964.Mr. Barley came to Vega after his marriage in 1914. He has lived in Fleischmanns since 1916 and was a mason in his active years.
