Schools Operate More Cafeterias Than Past Years By DAWNA WHITE The Cafeteria’ staff for Corona schools has’ increased this year from 15 to 23 ‘hourly employees, according to a report discussed at last night’s meeting of the Corona School Board. By rearrangement of kitchens, all foods in town for elementary schools are prepared at Lincoln Central Kitchen and outlying area food is prepared ‘at Norco Junior High School. . Because of the reopening of Co rona Junior High’s cafeteria it has been necessary to reclassify the following employees: Dora‘ Lee ‘Price from kitchen worker: to canteen manager; Anna Kubica from assistant cook mana ger to Corona. Junior High cook manager; Olive Figeira from help er manager at elementary in Nor co to Norco Junior High cook manager; Lillian ..Sanford from kitchen worker assistant to cook manager; Imogene Patton, baker to Central kitchen baker; and Minnie McCall from kitchen worker to Sierra Vista helper manager. Ten new employees were em ployed full time, they, ,will serve in various capacities. . Odessa Moss, Corabelle Albright, Faye Davis, Betty De Tillion, Zola Gann, Dessie Pritchard and Ruth Ewing were all employed as kitch ‘or Workers; Ghlanelle Page as can ent -helper; and Ann Hanson and Arn Anderson are both helper managers. The pay for all of the employees ranges from $1.10 to $1.80 per hour. The Senior High service kitchen has Doris Bristow and Dora Lee Price, and like most of the kitch ens a new one or two, Corona Junior High includes An na Kubica, Mamie Blanchard and Thelma White. Norco Junior High Central kitch en is under the guidance of Olive Figeira and Lillian Sanford, Lin coln Elementary-Central kitchen sports Laura Bench and Imogene Patton. S. permission to bomb Communist mainland artillery bases opposite Quemoy. _ Informed sources said the two men discussed how far the United States will go to defend the besieged Quemoys and a Washington warning that America would unleash Nationalist bombers if the off shore islands were about to fall. U. S., and Nationalist military officials agree the only way to stop the shelling is to bomb the Communist artillery. But this step has not been taken, apparently in belief the Reds would send their bombers over Formosa and directly involve the United States in a shooting war.
