0dY^The HoUe^fir^nen used a port, able pumpto get water from a Quarry late Tuesday evening and saved the home of Thomas McMahon, Jr. onN the Bennett Rd just south of the Howard Hd.McMahon’s auto body repair and paint Shop, hear (he house, was a mass of flames when he discovered the'fire just after 11 no ‘pan,.-and he burned one of his hands in an unsuccessful attempt to remove a car on which he had been1 working, Cause of the fire is unkonwn. The shop was entirely destroyed together with the car and ail of his tools and equipmentThe firemen were on the scene until 1:00 a.m. wetting down the remains. Only damage to the house were a few scorched asphah singles 'on the side, which were dripping tar, when they arrive The barn on the property was damaged.n
