PFC. LACY WALKER Last rites for Pfc. Lacy Walker, of McComas, who was killed in action in France, will be conducted at the Bible Church of God at Prosperity, near McComas, at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon by the Rev. Major Roberts. Interment will be in the Wood lawn cemetery. The body of Pfc. Walker will ar rive today on train 15 and will be taken to the Mercer Funeral home, where it will remain until Friday when it will be removed to the family home in McComas. Pfc. Walker was a son of Otto and Jennie Shrader Walker. His father survives, and nine broth ers, Mason, of Ashland, and Bern ard, Jimmy, Weldon, Paul, Landon, Arnold, Shelby and Ira Walker, McComas; and two sisters, Mrs. Lada Mae Simmons, Ashland, and Mrs. Mary Helen Mitchem, of Crumpler, and a half-sister, Lil lian Jewell. He was formerly with the Poca hontas Fuel company at Worth. He was a member of the United Mine Workers of America. W. MAXWELL HARRIS Final rites for W. Maxwell Har ris, of Oak Hill, who died Tues day in a hospital there, will be held at 2 o'clock this afternoon at the home of Dr. Samuel Moore, of Bluefield. Burial will be in the Oak Hill cemetery. CPL. CHARLES E. STUMP Funeral services for Cpl. Charles E. Stump, son of Mr. and Mrs. James A. Stump, Staffordsville, Va., will be held at 2:30 o’clock this afternoon at the Methodist church in Pearisburg, Va., with the Rev. A. B. Wing officiating. The body arrived in Pearisburg yesterday morning and was taken to the Givens Funeral home where it will remain until time for the services. Burial will be made in Birch lawn cemetery in charge of Pearisburg Post No. 203, American Legion. Cpl. Stump was killed in action in Germany on December 12, 1944. Other survivors are several brothers and several sisters.
