Mr. J. J. Cox arrived back from Pla centia Bay today. Mn. Gro. Morty is back from a short trip to the Southern Shore. Mr. J. 8. Burgess, of Bath Harbor, is now in the city on a business visit. Cart. J. R. AND Mrs. Moss, who have been in England on a holiday trip, re turned home last night on the R. M. 8. Buenos Ayrean, Mr. H. SUTHERLAND, agency director of the [Imperial Life Assurance Company of Canada, is in town for the purpose of establishing an agency in this city, and is Staying at the Crosbie. Mr. Joan ANbDENSON, M. H. A., who has been in England buying his stock for the autumn trade, returned home on the 3.8. Buenos Ayrean last night. Mr. ©. WaTKINSON, station-master of the Reid-Newfoundland Co., who has been to Montreal for his wife, returned here on the express yesterday. Mr. Watkinson has taken a house on Quidi Vidi Road, where he will make his home in future.
