People that get bitten by sharpers with games ought not to squeal. With the biter and his victim the game is to get something for nothing, and us ually the sharpest sharper wins. Mor ally,one is no better than the other. The following items show the course of human events: Wallace Co’s circus showed at Fayette, Saturday, operating their swindling schemes there as elsewhere. Deputy sheriff Farr went down on complaint of a man from Postville, and recovered #140, that the sharpers had bled him out of. When threat ened with an attachment the manager paid it over without a word.—Argo. Deputy sheriff Farr recovered $166 of the circus gang for a swindled citi zen of Postville who attempted to get something for nothing from theives. He evidently doesn’t take his town paper or he would know better than to wrestle with a buzz-saw. He nev er ought to have received a dollar.— Postal Card.
