BELLEVUE — Five people, including a former Norwalk woman, were killed and three were seriously in jured here Thursday night in a two-car collision at the in tersection of Ohio 4 and 547. Killed were Edith Krebs, 43, Raymond Krebs, 59, William James, 79, and Carolyn Gahagan, 55, all of Sandusky; and Rose Krebs, 54, Huron. Mrs. Gahagan was formerly of Norwalk. All five were dead at the scene and taken to Wohlever Funeral Home, Bellevue. They were passengers in a station wagon driven by Harvey Krebs, Huron. The driver this morning was in stable condition in Good Samaritan Hospital. Another passenger in the station wagon, former Nor walk resident Arthur Gahagan, 53, Sandusky, was in stable condition at Bellevue Hospital. The driver and only occupant of the the other car, LaDonna Dysard, 46, Republic, was in fair condition at Bellevue Hospital. The Norwalk Post of the Highway Patrol said Ms. Dysard was westbound on Ohio 547 and failed to stop at the stop sign at Ohio 4. The station wagon was northbound on Ohio 4 at the time of the 11:35 p.m. accident. The accident is under investigation. Harvey Krebs, owner of Allan Motor Sales, Huron, was returning from dinner with his wife, Rose; his brother and sister-in-law; and family friends when the accident occurred. Funeral arrangments for Mrs. Gahagan are pending at the Quick Park Rawson Funeral Home, Sandusky. Her husband, Arthur Gahagan, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur B. Gahagan, 62 E. Elm St. in Norwalk. A Norwalk man making a delivery for Crow Lumber Co. was injured Thursday af ternoon when the van he was driving struck a low railroad bridge at Shaw Mill and Plank roads. David J. Frey, 22, 11 Ford Ave., was treated at Fisher- Titus Memorial Hospital for a cut above his eye. Two people on a motor cycle were killed Labor Day weekend when they hit the same bridge. Frey was en route to Sandusky with a load of pre hung interior doors. The Highway Patrol said he was westbound on Shaw Mill Road at 2 p.m. The van apparently was too high for clearance. According to Crow Lumber Co., four doors were damaged in addition to the van. The van can be repaired, the manager said. No citation was issued. A Norwalk man was cited for fictitious registration and failure to yield the right-of way Thursday night following an accident on Washington and Foster streets. Police cited Raymond Blystone, 21, 95 N. Foster St. His car struck a car driven by Nan Farmer, 24, 65% S. Linwood Ave. The report stated Ms. Farmer was eastbound on Washington Street when the Blystone vehicle drove through the intersection and hit the side of the Farmer vehicle. A Norwalk teenager lost control of his car and struck a parked vehicle on St. Mary’s St. Thursday night. Robert W. Howard, 19, 16% Norwood Ave., struck a parked vehicle belonging to Grace Spino, 173 St. Mary’s St. He was cited for failure to control. A police report stated Howard was talking to his passenger when the accident occurred.
