Lynn Camp Is 28-14 VictimClass A Win Looms Big For HarlanBy MABEL COLLINSA Class A victory Friday night loomed big for the Harlan Green Dragons and put them in tied for first place in District 1, Region 4 after Pineville whipped Williamsburg 8-6. The Dragons pooled their resources and came up with a 28-14 win from Lynn CampRain marked the first half of the game but inspite of the slippery conditions there were no lost fumbles Marvin Howard, Harlan quarterback, completed five of 10 pass attempts for 84 yardsJimmy Hunter, Jeff Ingram and Jack Taylor’s offensive efforts paid off Jim Melton. Slone and Taylor pulled Melton down again M Smith and Donnie Blevins took a crack at him but he still managed to move forward a yard or two Harlan held on fourth dow-n and Melton faked a punt and ranit 36 yards to knot the score at 6-6.Tommy Farrow got a five yard return on the kickoff and Ingram drove it up the middle to the 47. Randy Mahan pulled Ingram down after an eight yard gain.Hunter and Ingram picked up first downs and Marvin Howard threw to Byron Howard for a first on the five and Ingram took it in M Howard threw a strike to Hunter for two points and Harlan led 14-6.The Wildcats called on Melton again and again. Taylor. B Howard and Adkisson led defense charges on the strong runner Hunter and B Howard got him for a big loss.After the punt.
