MISS HILDA JANSON HONORED AT SHOWERMiss Vera Heck, Miss Margaret Linnertz and Mrs. Frank Wiersch were hostesses at a miscellaneous bridal shower for Miss Hilda Jan-son at the Frank Wiersch home in Waterloo on Sunday afternoon, September 12.Two rooms in the home were decorated with pink and white streamers, attached to a little bride on a table decorated in white over which a miniature sprinkling can was suspended. After the bride-to-be and groom-to-be had opened the gifts, bingo was played, prizes being awarded to Mrs. Wm. Whelan of Waterloo and Miss Arlou Weilbacher and Miss Hilda Janson, both of Columbia. The attendance prize went to Mrs. Armin Weilbacher of Columbia.Other guests present were Mrs. John Janson, Sr., Mrs. Clarence Janson and Mrs. John Janson, Jr., of Columbia, Mrs. Anton Heck of Red Bud, Mrs. Ted Bus-sen of Belleville, Mrs. Herbert Weltig and Mrs. Wm. Whelan of Waterloo, Mrs. Raymond Korves of Valmeyer, and the Misses Frieda, Marcella and Lillian Sander, Maretta and Alma Horcher, Marion and Arlou Weilbacher, Ruth and Margaret Beckerle, Mary Catherine Janson, and the honored guest, Hilda Janson, all of Columbia, Lucille Hermann of Millstadt, Bernice Kaestner, Arlou Kolmer and Betty Weltig of Waterloo, and Bernice Weber of Madonnaville.Those who were not present but sent gifts were Miss Rosalie Wuertz of Red Bud, Miss Dorothy Stoekel and Mrs. Arthur Hel-frich of Millstadt, and Mrs. Clarence Wienhoff of Waterloo.Miss Janson will be married to Adam Heck September 29.
