Death of Wm. Read.Wm. Read was born in Maidstone, Kent, England, on May 24th, 1835, and departed this life at 7:30 a. m., Sept. 15, 1910, at the age of 75 years, 3 months and 19 days. His death was from peritonitis due to stoppage, and while he has been in poor health for the past year he was confined to his bed but a week.When a young man he married Miss Rebecca Bowen to which union twelve children were born, eight—two sons and three daughters Irving in England and one son, Harry Read, and two daughters, Mrs, E. Hartnup and Mrs. Chas. Nagel of this place, survive him.In 1881, several years after the death of his first wife, he was united in marriage to Mrs. Sarah Waghorn, of Horsmonden, Eng., and in 1889, in company with his wife and youngest son, he came to America, arriving at Hobart May 13, 1S89, since which time he has lived in the vicinity of Hobart and for a number of years past has been a market gardener and supplied the people of Hobart with fresh vegetables.Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2,30 at the home north of town, Rev. Servies, pastor of the M.
