MR. IRELAND'S DEATH.Another Old Resident Passes over to the Great Majority.Mr. Thomas Ireland, a pioneer of this town, died suddenly at his home here Inst Friday morning of heart failure. Though not confined to his room Mr. Ireland had heeu ir. feeble health for some time and his demise, though startlingly sudden, was not altogether unexpected. He leaves a wife and live children to inoi.ru his loss. The funeral took place on Saturday afternoon to St. Barnahas church, the interment being the first in the new cemetery. The pii 11 bearers were L. B. Cochran, M. Leonard, T. Tweed, J. Hargrave, \V. T. Finlay and W. Cousins, ill like, the deceased, early settlers.Mr. Ireland came to this country from England in 1883. and was deployed for some time as clerk in the headquarter’s office of construction. For the last three or four years he has not been engaged itr any active business pursuit. De ceased was 48 years of age and a man of leniarkabie intelligence.
