TruanceMAHAFFEY - Laura Elizabeth (Hickok) Truance, 80, of Mahaffev died Friday, Sept 18, 2009, at ner residence.Born Aug. 19, 1929, at Wilgus, she was the daughter of Lutner James and Stella Rena (Smith) Hickok.She had attended the Mount Carmel EUB Church, Clover Run.She was a homemaker.On March 13, 1947, she wed Francis “Frank” Truance, who preceded her in death.Surviving are two daughters, Nancy Bennett and her husband, George, and Susan Daisher her and husband, Richard, all of Mahaffey; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Dorotha Beatty and her husband, Samuel, of Williamsport.In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Francis “Francy” Patton Truance; and a brother, Alvin J. Hickok,Funeral services will be held Monday, Sept. 21, at 2 p.m. at Rairigh Funeral Home Ltd., Hillsdale, with Pastor Gary Lockhart officiating.Interment wilF follow at Rowley Cemetery, Hillsdale.Friends will be received Monday, Sept 21, from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home.Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice, in care of Circle of Friends, c/o Clearfield Hospital, Turnpike Avenue, Clearfield, PA 16830.
