It's nice to be able to report that Jean Person arrived home on Friday following a stay of a month's duration in the Health Sciences Centre, Winnipeg. Miss Heather Friesen and Miss Farnilee McCurry commenced their studies at the Univer sity of Manitoba in the Faculty of Arts. Miss Karen Schettler who has secured employ ment with the Monarch Life Insurance Co. in Winnipeg, spent the weekend with her par ents, Mre Mrs. Bill Schettlers Mr. Mrs. Walter Mos crip of Winnipeg spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. Mrs.Cam pelle A family gathering was held at the home of Mre Mrs. Clayton Thomson on Sunday, September 11 following the service at the United Church at which time Barry James, infant son of Mre Mrs. James Lowe of Saskatoon, Sask, re ceived the sacrament of baptisms Mr. Mrs. Al Johnston (nee Beatrice Hawke) and family form erly of Winnipeg and Mr. Mrs. Mike Whelan (nee Ruth Hawke) formerly of Ontario are all living in Neepawa. Mike is teaching school at Eden, Mane Ruth and Beatrice have voluntee red their musical tal ent to help with the trainee singing at Touchwood Park, Mr. Mrs. John McCurry of Dauphin spent a few days with relatives in the district during the past weeke Mr. Mrs. WoA. Maubhe are now happily settled in their home, the for mer home of Mrs. Patt erson and Mrs. McDougall which they had remode lled. Mrs Mrs. Roger Lamp- Ton and Shane of Winni peg spent the weekend with her mother Mrs. Meta Parsons and Jim. Mr. Mrs. Russell Hen ley of Edmonton, Alice visited Tuesday with her cousin Mrs. Alice Vandeau and Tommyo Mr. Mrs. Don Taylor of Winnipeg spent the weekend at the Brown homes and were accom panied home by their Son Lesley who had spent the past week with relatives here. Those from here attend ing the funeral of their aunt, the late Mrs. Ida Shmoke, which was held in Winnipeg on Wednesday were Mrs. Alex Antoniuk, Mrs. Wms Oswald, Mrs. Aby Oswald, Mrs. Henry Krantz, Mrs. Sean Federich and Mrs. Ne Flatts Sympathy is extended to the berea ved family. Mr. Reg. Brown of Winn ipeg accompanied by Peter Nielsen of Long Beach, Calif. spent last Sunday with Mr. Mrs. George Brown and with Eddie and Lorraine Brown. Miss Gail Sadowski and friend from Brandon spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. Mrs. Mac Sadowski and other relatives in town. Mr. Mrs. Albert Harris of Thunder Bay, Ont. spent from Wednesday to Monday with her brother -in-law and sister Mr. Mrs. Ede Oswald. Sun day visitors were her nephew and his family, Mr. Mrs. Erling Harris and Cory of Winnipeg, and her brother and sister-in-law, Mre Mrse Ede Kelm of Rid ing Mountain, Mane and Ken, JoAnne and familys
