Another Escape Plot Is Nipped at County Jail prisoner trying to escape if he did not halt on command. Three of the prisoners, Otto Gerge, “Cotton” Bush and Har vey George, are charged with the assassination of Herman Kirk land, Toulminville druggist, last Bars Found Out The prisoners, including on Pitman, “Cowboy” Still sie” Brannan, Willie and oer Williams, the latter under a death sentence for robbery, have made several attempts to escape, Hol combe said. Bars have been found out twice. A search yesterday afternoon of the white section of the jail re vealed one bar cut almost in half. All food packages, newspapers and magazines are undergoing a systematic search by the guards. The second attempted escape was tipped off to Chief Deputy F. O. Hudoff by a prisoner who was released this week. Three hack saws were found in the second cell block, hidden in the alcove of angle ironsn the jail today. Chief Deputy ft said the saws had been smuggled to a prisoner held on a federal automobile theft charge, and passed on to another inmate.
