JAMES A. HILL STARTS, PRO CEEDINGS ‘AGAINST MARY BE, MONGER: DID NOT TURN OVER MONEY Charging that the slanderous term of thief was applied to him by Mary RE, Monger James A. Hill has brought suit for $3,000.damages in the cir cuit court.. The complaint is short. Hill claims that she accused him of stealing her money and called him a thief, in the presence of Paris Johnson and divers other persons. Ezra Mattingly is Hill's attorney. Ward: Sues? Guardian. Suit on.bond has been brought by Maud and Francis MelLin, in the name of the state, against Walter F. Palmer, Charles H. Brown, Robert Russell, Andrew C. Palmer, William A. Wallace and Peter Ashleman. Maud McLin * charges that Palmer was named her guardian July 16, 1898, at the death of her father, John T. Rose, and that Charles H. Brown and Robert Russell were on his bond of $200. That on Decem ber 19, 1901, a new bond of $900 was drawn and that Andrew C. Pal mer, William A. Wallace and Peter Ashleman were the bondsmen. She says that July 20 she was married to Melvin and that money held by her guardian, Palmer, should have, been paid over to her and her husband. She charges that Palmer refused so to do. She says that there is done her $800 from her guardian and demands judgment in that sum.
