Oar» gile got a glimape of the cat in the brush and fired, not knowing that Lilly was in that quarter. His glia was loaded with buckshot and two ol the balls penetrated one of Joe’s legs, one striking nsar the foot and the other going completely through the fleshy part of the leg above the knee.It was a very olose shave from being killed and Mr. Lilly feels very fortU* nate in his escape with his wounds no more serious. It is expected that hi will be out in a few days.
