PERU—A Miami Circuit Court jury deliberated over five hours Wednesday night before returning a verdict of guilty. Found guilty of possession and sale of marijuana was Roy Pennington, 23, Peru. The jury recommended that Pennington be sentenced to three years’ imprisonment and fined $500 on the sale of marijuana charge and sen tenced to 180 days at the state penal farm on the possession charge. The jury deliberated from 5:20 to 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, trying to decide among 11 possible verdicts. Pennington was arrested in September of 1973 and his trial began in circuit court Monday. The jury also found him in nocent of conspiracy to commit a felony.
