‘A miscellaneous shower was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Allan Davey, September 14th, in honor of Miss Viola Ross, bride-elect of Sep tember 29th. An enjoyable afternoon was spent in contests after which followed the resentation of the many lovely and useful gifts, drawn in by Melvin Davy and his cousin Linda Mullins, suitably dressed for the occasion. ‘The gifts were enclosed in a three tier wedding cave atop a decorated wagon. The cake was beautifully de corated with a bride doll made of kitchen utensils. After all the gifts were opened and ‘admired the bride-elect responded with a few well chosen words of ‘thanks to her many friends and neighbors The party was drawn to a close by the cutting of two beautifully dec rated heart-shaped cakes on which were the names of the bride and groom-elect. A scrumptous lunch fol lowed. Attendants of Mrs. Davey were Miss Marjorie Dowsette, Mrs. Jack Mclean and Mrs. Ottis Wenteel.
