Pierce County Fair To be Held Oct. 3-5The Pierce county fair grounds are rapidly being put in shape for the 63rd annual Pierce County Fair, which will be held Oct. 3-4-5. The fair committee has completed making arrangements for a. fine program. The judges have been arranged to start the placing of the different entries bv 9:00 a. m. on Friday.Thursday will be entry day with Dobson's United Shows on the midway.Friday is to be Veterans’ Homecoming day with a parade of veterans on the track in front of the grandstand at 12:30, headed by the River Falls Drum Corps, Wis-onsin's state champions. At 1:00 an American Legion drill team contest will be held, and at 1:30 a western horse show will take place. In the evening a baseball game between Maiden Rock and Plum City will be played underthe lights at 8;00,Rodeo day will be on Saturday. At 9:00 in the morning the 4-H demonstration contest will be held, followed by a horse-pulling contest at 10:00. At 1:00 in the afternoon the livestock parade in front of the grandstand will take place, headed by the Ellsworth H. S. Band. The 4-H and FHA style revue will be on the platform in front of the grandstand at 1:30, and at 2:00 the rodeo with 18 bucking horses, 15 cowboys, trick roping and ndmg wiii furnish ail spectators a thrill. At 8:00 in the evening the ESTP Barn Dance program and broadcast will be the highlight.Premium lists may be obtained by writing the county agent’s office at Ellsworth.
