OBITUARYFreda Georgene Simmons, nine months old daughter of Robert E. and Ruth Simmons, died last Sunday morning at the home, north of Pendleton , of membranous croup. The funeral service was held at the residence Tuesday morning, burial at the Wilkinson cemetery. Mt. Gilead ladies furnished comforting music; Mrs.I. G. Davis related a touching story that put a silver lining around the dark cloud. The floral offerings were tributes of loving hearts, and quite a number of relatives, neighbors and friends were present. The burial service was preached by Rev. C. W. Marlow.
