Lotis K. Kaup. Hovis K. Kaup, one of the wet Kiowa respected citizens and lived . Hamilton for the past forty years died in Mercy hospital at 2 o'clock Wednesday morning and 69 years, 10 months, 6 days, of a com ication of diseases. He was born in Cincinnnati, November 13, 1847, and came to Hamitton with his pare ments at the age of 3 years. He com ducted in shoe store on Third street near High street for manx years and ten years ago removed his shoe store (a Court street opposite the Journal offices. ) On July 28, 1871, Mr. Kamp was Married in St. Stephen's Catholic church to Miss Catherine Volbrock who preceded him in death January a year ago, he is survived by three children, Mrs. Joseph Westbrock, Reading, Mrs. Edward Risley and Louis Kaup, by six grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Catherine Colenai and Mrs. Elizabeth Lane, Mr Naapo was as member of “Stephen's Catholic claveh aid the Honeeel to the Men's sogiety of the “congregation. The funeral’ services were held Thigsday, 4 Morton Ingalls. Morton Thgalls, 65, a former citi zen of Middletown, died at St. Bie atheth hospital, Dayton, Mrs. F. M. Long, Margaret Jong, wife ofb. M. Long died at her home in West Chester, Wednesday morning at 2 o’clock of general debility, at the age of 73 Years, 5 months and 3 days, Mr. Lous is the well known funeral di rector of West Chester. Mrs. Long is survived by the bereaved widower, two daughters and one son, namely, Mrs. John Sehick of West Chester, Mrs.LAL Fowler of Coldwater, Mich, and ALK. Some of Cincinnati, also six grandchildren, two steal grandchildren, ue brother, — Ross [Phillips ‘of New Carlisle, and one sister, Mrs. Jennie Bawngardier of Dayton, Ohio. She was a member of the Ladies’ Aid society of Gano. The funeral will take place Friday [afternoon at 1:50 o’clock at the house. Tolermennt, — West Chester cemetery. The following resolutions were subsmitted to the board for considera tion by Dr. Burnett and were adopt ed. ‘That the salary of the following I named teachers for the school year ‘of 1917 and 1918 be fixed as follows: Laura Cory, first half, $77.50, second half $80; Katie Rentschler, first half’ 457.50, second half S00; Adela Pabst, first half 60, second half $62.40; Nelle Hynes, first half $90.00, second half $95.00, and Jesse Miehti first half $92.50, second half £ 9750. That the appointments made this ‘day by Supt. Joyce he approved and confirmed and fot the salaries of ‘the following named teachers for the school year of 1917 and 1918 he fixed as follows: Ethel M. Wilson, j kindergarten teacher, Alice Riel, WM. B. Stout and Helen Smyers. The lat ter's resignation will take effect Sep tember 28, 1917. An extension of leave of absence for the following school year o was granted to Miss Fanina Freebiling for the purpose of enabling her to con tinue her course at the Ohio State University.
