Over a week ago, while a little boy of Mr. John Faris, of the Scotch Settlement, sat in school, he had a cherry stone shot into his ear by a boy who sat behind him. It was found difficult to extract the stone and the child was taken to Toronto where Dr. Forrest succeededin removing it.*
