Kewanee Black Knights placed seventh Sunday in the drum and bugle corps competition at the national con vention vo. the American Legion in Atlantic City. Skokie Indians won their third straight title, scoring 90.63 out of a possible 100 points. Another Illinois group, Kankakee, won the color guard championship. Second in the drum corps contest were the Connecticut Yankees; Syra cuse, New York, third; Hawthorne, New York, fourth; Yankee Rebels, fifth; Skyliners of New York City, sixth; Kewanee, seventh; Pittsburgh Rockets, eighth; Morristown, Pennsyl vania, ninth, and Commonwealth-Edi son, of Chicago, tenth. Members of the Kewanee corps, which includes several Galvans, and C. Forrest Bailey and John L. Haines, who accompanied the group, returned hame the first of the week.
