tPte. Jack Kincaid Dies of WoundsThe flag at half-mast oyer the city office has proclaimed this week the death of another Kelowna soldier, Pte. Jack Kincaid. Pte Kincaid was wounded Aug. 10, and lingered over a month before passing over to the many heroes who have gone before. Jack was well known in Kelowna, passing much of his life here. He attended High school and taught here, was foremost in the sports and a bright young fellow generally. He enlisted with a corps from Queens University, where he attended for several terms, and saw a good deal of service having been in France over a year.He was wounded previously in Jan. of the present year, but was later able to return to the trenches passing through much of the heavy fighting this summer.He was 27 years old, the eldest son of Mr. and Mis. J. Kincaid, of Kelowna. Another son, Graham, is now lieutenant on active service.
