-Ileiii v Gardes, president of tin; American National Hank, nf New Orleans, which was forced to suspend, Walter W. Uirault, cashier. and T. II. Under-wood, stockholders, have been ar rested hy United States officials on charge of embezzlement. The former are charged with embezzling $80,000 of the funds of the bank, and Underwood with aiding and almttiug tbu others.
