E. H. Clough, one of the cleverest newspaper men iuxialifornia, will have a story in the Argonaut of September 21st that one can not forget as soon as it is read. It is entitled “Located at Deadhorse: A Weird Comedy Enacted in a Mariposa Grave-Yard.” Such a combination of the grewsome and the grotesque has seldom been wiitten in theEnglish language; it is as ghostly and weird as Poe’s best tales, and the humor combines the peculiarities of Bret Hart and Mark Twain, while retaining a strong individuality.
