Tin* corner-stone for a monument to commemorate the gloiiotlfl 14th of .September, 1874, wah laid at the foot of Canal street, New Oilcans last Monday, in the presence of an Immense crowdand with imposing ceremonies. Jridjreit. II. Muir presided and lion. J. F. Jonas made a magnificent oration.
