There are no ifs, ands or buts about it. They executed everything that they had to. They were more aggressive. Their coaching staff did a better job than we did.They dominated every aspect of that game.Northwood (1.-0) scored early and often. The Timberwolves scored on five of their six possessions in the first half and on seven of their first eight overall.(The win) is exciting for us, Curtis said. But I am kind of in shock. I never expected to win the way we did.Northwood led, 35-7, at half time and at one point late in the third quarter, 49-7.We came out pumped up and wanted to beat Woodbridge, Northwood running back Jeff Keller said.Keller did his part, rushing 17 times for 183 yards and three touchdowns. He had the second highest rushing total in Orange County last weekend.Northwood had more than 300 yards rushing as a team.The line was blocking fantastic tonight, Keller said. We had a bunch of downfield blocks by receivers too. Holes were opening up all over.Northwood actually put its first points on the board through the air.New starting quarterback Bryan Curtis found Erik Bosshart open in the front right-hand comer of the end zone with 6:53 to go in the first quarter.Curtis did a nice job of faking a handoff to the left and then rolling to his right before hitting Bosshart on an 11-yard play.The touchdown capped a 13-play, 58-yard drive.A key play in the drive was a defensive holding call on Woodbridge after it looked as if the Warriors had stopped Northwood on a fourth and 10 play at the 23-yard line.Northwood added to its lead shortly after.After Bosshart intercepted a pass by quarterback Mike Anderson on the Warriors' second play from scrimmage deep in Woodbridge territory, Keller rumbled three yards off tackle for a score.Brian Klucsar's extra point gave Northwood a 14-0 lead with 4:48 to play in the first quarter.Klucsar was on the field again after Tim Carrier scored on a 44-yard reverse. The touchdown, which came after the Northwood defense forced Woodbridge to go three plays and out, put the Timberwolves up, 21-0, with 1:19 to go in the opening quarter.While Northwood was having its way on offense, Woodbridge struggled against a physical Tim-berwolf defense.Gibson was somewhat at a loss to explain the Warriors' performance.1 think they were, I guess more fired up for the game than we were and that concerns me because how can you not be ready to play a cross-town rival? I don’t know, he said.Woodbridge's first four offensive series resulted in the Warriors gaining 10 yards, throwing one interception, punting twice and fumbling once.The fumble led to another Northwood score.Mark Kazyak sacked Anderson and jarred the ball loose. Michael Osorio recovered on the Woodbridge 21-yard line.Four plays later Max Nikolenko scored on a17-yard end around play to give Northwood a four-touchdown lead with 8:39 to play in the first half.Woodbridge got some rhythm going on offense on its next series, putting together maybe its best drive of the night.The Warriors ran 14 plays and went 73 yards for a touchdown.Running back J.P.
