Superior Court inSession This Week.Hanks Superior Court met Monday morning at JO o’clock. Hi* Hon. (’has. H. Brand present andpresiding. ,Solicitor General John B. Gamble is at his post fearlessly looking after the states interests.Golden hearted Golden Knight, of Monroe, stenographer of the Western Circuit is here discharging his duties.The grand jury was organized with Mr. Joe M. Kberhart, of Maygvillc, as foreman of the grand jury. This body is composed of safe sane economic business men and the various interests and the future welfare of the county will no doubt be carefully looked after. The civil docket this week isthe heaviest in the history of the county, thsre being more than one hundred and thirty cases to bedisposed of.The murder case of Pink Heg wood w ill not !e t.ri«*d. For two weeks Hegwood has been acting as a “crazy” man, Wednesday evening a Urnrd of three physicians and twelve jurors pronounced the man as sane. It is now thought that he will to day le tried for using profane language and that the mur der trial will go over.Judge Brand’s charge to the grand jury lasted for an hour and a quarter and was one of the ablest and most forceful ever delivered from this bench. Many people arecomplimenting the judge on thischarge. Much of the charge was directed to loys and young men and it is worth while for all boys and young men to attend the open ing sessions of superior courts andhear the judges charge to the grand jury.The superior court room is a busy place this week—in fact Judge Brand says that it is the busiest place he ever saw.Much business is leing disposed of and we will give proceedings in our issue next week.Owing to the vast amount of business an adjourned, term of the superior court will likely be held some time this fall.There arc more than thirty visiting attorneys here this week.
