SAMUEL WAMPLERMrs. Jennie Wampler, wife of the late Samuel Wampler, died at her home in Bondersvilie at 1:50 Sunday morning from Dropsy aged 51 years 10 months.She is survived by the following children: Mrs. Cora .Martin, Tower City; John Deardovtf. Bendersville; Edward Wampler, Bendersville; Danney Wampler. Harrisburg; Mrs. Beulah Cline. Bendersville;, Samuel Wampler. Bendersville; - Margaret Wampler, Bendersville. She is also survived by eleven step children: Charles Deardorif, Pannie; Frank Deardorff, Gettysburg: Harry Stauffer, New Baltimore; William Deardorff, Willi amsport; Dav id W am pier, Stoyestown; Hairy Wampler Biglerville; Mrs. John Young, Columbia; Mrs. Frank Buffington. Mechanics* burg; Mrs. Annie Cashman, Lancaster; Mrs. William Zimmerman, Harrisburg; Mrs. Dennis Taylor, Bendersville.She is also survived by four sisters and 2 brothers: Daniel Beuiner. Bendersville; George Beamer, Bigler-ville route 2; Julia Onier, Biglerville route 2; Mrs. John Miller Biglerville route-2; Mrs. John Irvin, Buchanan Valley; Mrs. Samuel McEtwee, Dauphin.Funeral Wednesday morning at 10 o’clock, meet at Pie house. Services at house; interment at Bendersville, Rev. F. C. Goeller, of Yorks Springs officiating.JAMES L. HQSPEILHORNYork Springs to that place, where he resided 25 years ago. He was 74 years ot age, and a very highly respected man.Surviving him are his wife, one slaughter, Mrs. Mary Brandon, at home, one brother. Abraham Plank, of Churchtown, and these sisters.* Mrs, Abner Kremer, Churchtown; Mrs Mary Ellen Grissinger, near Carlisle, and Mrs. John Lower, of Gettysburg.The funeral was held Friday afternoon at two o’clock. The services were held at his late residence, and were conducted by Rev. H. W. Wiss-ler, of Carlisle,* and pastor of the Reformed church of that place. Interment was made in the Mt. Zion cemetery.Miss Mary C. McSherryJames Luther Hospelhorn, brother of La Grand Hospelhom. of this place, died at 1 :ld a. in. Saturday in Waynesboro from appendicitis. He was aged 31 years.Mr. Hospelhorn was born near Em-mitsburg in 1878 and was aged 31 years. He was a son of John and Lydia Hospelhorn, Emmitsburg, who are both living.As a youth. Mr. Hospelhorn assisted his father on a farm in Adams county. At the outbreak of the Spanish American war he enlisted in the company from Gettysburg. He was never in active service“but remained in Chic-anmauga for three months.He was united in marriage to Miss Jennie Scott, Fairplay, in 1899. After his marriage he assumed the position of a traveling salesman through Adams county for the Singer Sewing Machine Co, He worked in Middletown also, as an agent for the same linn. Seven years ago he went to Waynesboro and formed a business partnership with J. R. Miller, He has been with that firm since.He was a member of the Lutheran church, Emmitsburg, and was an energetic young business man with qualities which made him friends in the business world.Besides his parents and wife two children survive Lorraine and LaRoe. Two brothers a 1 so survive: Bartrani, Emmitsburg. and Lagrande, Gettysburg.The body was brought here Monday afternoon and interim nt made in the National Cemetery.Miss Mary Catharine McSherry died at her home in Littlestown on Wednesday afternoon aged 49 years. She was a daughter of the late Hon. William McSherry.Surviving her are four sisters, Misses Annie, Cecelia, Virginia and Margaret McSherry all living at home in Littlestown: two brothers, Hon,William McSherry.of Gettysburg, and Dr. Richard McSherry. of Baltimore, Three step sisters and four step brothers also survive.Funeral Friday morning at nine o’clock from St. Aloysios’ church, Littlestown of which she was a member. Interment in Littlestown Catholic Cemetery.Mrs. Lucy BowenMrs. Lucy Bowen, widow of George W. Bowen, deceased,died at her home in Baltimore on Tuesday evening. She was aged 90 years,Mr and Mrs. Bowen were both natives and for many years residents of Gettysburg. Mr. Bowen was a printer and for some time was at the head of the Star and Sentinel. After he left this place he was connected with the Government Printing office at Wash ington up to the time of his death.Two sons and four daughters survive Mrs. Bowen. The following nieces and nephews reside in Gettysburg, Misses Mary and Sarah Kendle-hart, J. W. Kendlehart and J. L. Kendlehart.Funeral Thurday with interment in Evergreen Cemetery, Rev. L.
