WILD MAN oAPTURED.Terrorized Residents Near Columbia Falls.The wild man who has terrorized the people living in the foot hills uhovc Columbia Kails was captured by Deputy Sheriff Theiriault Iasi week and is at present in the jail here. For some timereports have been received that mere was a wild man living in the woods near the Falls and that e had been seen by different parties. Last week a complaint was sworn out by some of the people living in that neighborhood and Deputy Sheriff Thorriault was sent to investigate the matter.Tne deputy had no difficulty in catching his man and placed him tin dor arrest and brought him to Kalis yell, lie proved to be a Russian .Jew about 45 years of age wno is evidently crazy, lie told a disconnected s.ory and from what could be derived .10111 his rambling it was learned thai he had been in the woods about three weeks and had lived most of the time on berries. He said that he was shot aoout six years ago and that the bullet was still in his head. He will be hc.d until the return of Judge Smith, when an investigation as to his sanity will he held.
