Pa., August blh, 1814 and died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. 11 V. Urn ley, near Kellogg, Iowa. August lOth, 1800, aged 81 years and lb days.Father An ten was twice married, the firsi time in 1880. Ot this marriage but one out of seven children, is living, A.O. An ten, of Eugene City, Oregon. He %v;is married the second time tn Angnst 10th, 1862, to Sarah Winters, who survives him.Ills early life was passed in his native state. In 1880 lie moved to Knox county Ohio, where lie resided until 1804, when lie came to Jasper county, Iowa, where he has lived ever since.*-Uncle John,” as he was familiarly known,-' was an earn eat and consistent Christian, conyerted iu 1858, and at member of the M. E. church until his death, a loving and faithful husband .and father. A man who was respected wherever known. The highest eulogy we can give lum is that lie left an example of a useful life and a Christian death. Funeral services were held inthe Methodist Episcopal church of Keilogg at 8.30 p. m., August 20th, conducted by iiuv. C. W. Shepherd, his pas^ tor, and attended by a full house. His remains were deposited iu the beautifulcemetery, near Kellogg, iu hopes of a ;Jorious resurrection.
