Clewed tiy a Savap Brute.JULIAN SHINHOLT TERRIBLY LA CERATED BY A LARUE BULL DOG.Crushed hv a Stone—Smith Escapes From Sylvan Retreat—Frank Has aBad Fall—Other News.About 8 o’clock Tuesday Julian Shin-holt, aged 5 years, son of W. 11. Shin-holt, 2lt;*1 North Mechanic street, was terribly bitten by a bull-dog belonging to Mr. Leonard Shetzer on the Valley road, at Ladytown. No one was near and the dog was biting the boy’s face when found in the fruit lot. It appears that Mr. Shetzer went to the orchard to gather grapes, taking the boy with him.He left the boy inside an enclosed lot and w'ent to the arbor. Hearing the boy's cries he went to where he was and found the dog had the boy down and was chewing his face. He grabbed the dog and took him away. The boy is terribly torn about the face which is badly swollen and he is also bitten in the hand. The boy is in bed and although badly lacerated, is able to talk and drink liquid food. The little sufferer does not complain and bears the pain bravely. The dog is said to have been shot. Ir. C. 11. Brace is attending to the little fellow's injuries.
