There have already been more entries made for exhibition than was ever done before in this State, and still the number is being increased as fast as the clerks can record them. The weather is piopitious, and everything augurs well for the complete success of the greatest exhibition ever seen in the State of Illinois. The number and varioty of articles already on exhibition surpasses anything of the kind we have ever seen before. It is simply a world of wonders, and any one failing to attend will miss a treat which they may never again have an opportunity of witnessing. It would be useless in this issue to attempt a description of what is already on the grounds. A slight reference to some of the departments must suffice. The first building beyond the Secretary’s stand is filled with articles of every variety and description.It would take more time and space than we can spare to make mention of a tithe of what is to be seen here. However, among the more notable articles 011 exhibition we were particularly pleased with the grand display of firearms, by the famous Remington Company, of Ilion, N. Y. The art gallery is as well represented with as fine a lot of pictures and engravings as was ever seen together. On one side of the hall is an immense variety of stuffed animala and birds, which in themselves are well worth the price of admission.
