Syracuse Symphony Will Give Concerts For Young PeopleFollowing the successful program of last year, the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra again will present a series of Young People's concerts during 1939-40,Miss Florence Broad, teacher ofpiano and chairman of last season sYoung People’s concert, again heads the group which sponsors these Saturday morning affairs.Although hut four such concerts have been arranged, the number may be extended to six. by popular demand of public school teachers and the young people themselves who enjoy this opportunity to hear the music of the masters.Tho regular night concerts of the Syracuse Symphony, begin on Oct. 5 with the guest appearance of Percy Grainger, famed pianist and composer. Season tickets, or tickets to any one particular concert, may be obtained from any member of the Symphony Women’s Committee, of which Mrs. Douglas McClure Lyon is chairman.
