On Tuesday last a rumour was current in town that the Daly River black* had stolen the provisions at the plantation, and also had taken the boat moored in the river, and that two labras had been shot. The news came through the blacks. It is not at all improbable that some disaster baa befallen the partj as Mr. Owston was expected in Palmerston three weeks ago. The Kllan-do wan steamed out of harbour early on the following rooming, and was expected to reach the plantation about noon on Thors-*7-
