A MAN STABBED BY A BOY,Yesterday Timothy Donelly, a cadaverous-looking lad, betwen 15 and 16 years of age, was charged at Manchester with stabbing a labouring man, named James E»gar, The prisoner gave his age as 13, and he certainly looks no older. He is a notorious young thief, and at the time of his apprehension he was taken from a number of young male and female thieves, who were all sleeping together in one of those receiving houses so numerous in Man* Chester. From the evidence of a lad who was an eye-witness of the occurrence, it would appear that on Monday evening the prisoner wa* standing with a group of girls in Oak-street, off Ancoatsstreet, when the prosecutor passed by. One of the girls made some impudent remark, and the man, taming back, struck her, and then walked on. The prisoner rushed after him, drew out and opened his clasp knife, and plunged it furiously into his abdomen. The man endeavoured to pursue the young ruffian, but becoming exhausted, he fell to the ground. He was assisted into a cab, and taken to the Koyal Infirmary. The wound was dressed; but yesterday, at the police court, a surgeon’s certificatewas handed to the magistrates, stating that the prosecutor was lying In a dangerous condition. The prisoner muttered something in a sullen tone, and he was re mandeo till Tuesday,
