Mais will appear at the wheel of his own special creation which he calls a Mais Special; while Kectzla has cut down z Marmon 34 and made it into a speed \ V wagon. Clif. Woodbury, the young Duesenberg star, has also signed an entry blank.The Maxwell that Raimey will drive is the same machine that enabled Eddie Rickenbacker to win the Sioux City speedway race in 1915, while the Duesenberg is the exact car that j i “Rick” romped home to victory at the c rate of 7S.6 miles per hour in 1914. The motor fans of this section of the country are well aware of the speed of the Maxwell and Duesenberg.Secretary Joe Morton is also attempting to arrange a matched race between Elfreida Mais, “queen of the \ t earth” and Ruth Law, “queen of thedair.” Miss Mais Is coming to Sioux j lt;City to drive her special car in exlii- I i bitions, while Miss to is under con- i * tract to make three flights daily.
