NO EXPLANATION NEEDED.The town flag of Palo Alto was conspicuous to the eye of passing Native Sons by its absence on Admission day. The dearth of de- ( corations and the one little battered banneret fluttering over a livery stable led the patriotic natives to question the State pride of our sister town and to wonder whether or not Past Grand President Decker’s ardor had* been smothered by Eastern ‘‘indifference.” Are not explanations in order?—Redwood City Democrat.No explanation is needed. The beautiful flag which is the pride of Palo Alto floated to the breeze on Admission Day as it does on all holidays and if the Democrat scribe was not able to see it, it is not our fault.
