MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS.Sudden Death of a Stranger.A young man named James Scott Thompson, died Yery suddenly of appoplexy at tjie residence of Thomas Alderson, near this city on the 13th inst.,aud from Mr. Aiderson we learn the following particular.Mr. Thompson came to Nashville on the 19tli of May last with the intention of exhibiting a wild horse the peculiarities of which, it is said, renders it an object of curiosity, but owing to the bad condition of the horse no exhibition was made, and Mr. T., remained in the family of Mr. Alderson. Mr. Thompson stated that he Imd been merchandising in Madison, Ind., for several years, that his father’s name is John Thompson and that he resides in Cayuga county, New York.We learn further that the young man had drawn two or three times for a few hundred dollars, upon some person in Madison, Ind., and while here he had plenty of money; he is said to have been free hearted and very generous and animated.We state these particulars that the parents and friends of young Thompson may learn his fate. The horse and whatever other property he brought with him remains in the hands of Mr. Aldersou, It may be gratilying to his parents and friends to know that his remains were religiously cared for by those who knew him, j New York and Indiana papers will probably confer a favor on the friends of the deceased by publishing this notice.-Nashville Orthopolitan.Thp wav top.
